FREEDOM FROM HUMOR BLOGS DAY: a tumblr human idea

as we all know, tumblr humor blogs produce content in the following manner:

• reblog a post
• oh but wait we’re gonna remove the source and change it to us
• which floods the author with notes, but doesn’t let them get any new followers or benefits from it

alternatively:

• screencap post
• blur out author names
• post! yay original content

my idea is for us all to stop following humor blogs that do THIS shit (humor blogs that actually make original content are legit!), and stop reblogging their content - go to the original source and reblog it from them. there’s no reason for us to condone this sort of bullshit behavior

reblog signal boost whatever and then unfollow any humor blog that has this sort of vampiric behavior
